SIMURG HOUSE
INSPIRED BY DAVID GRAEBER
Simurg House cultivates vital connections between scholarly work, public discourse, and the transformative practices movements are already developing, nurturing the ideas of a democratic modernity. We are named after the mythological bird of Mesopotamian origin that recreates itself from ashes. Our work takes particular inspiration from the revolutionary thought of our late friend, David Graeber. Through dialogue, debate, and collaborative inquiry, we aim to honour his legacy by continuing the conversations he sparked about freedom, democracy, and the possibilities of reimagining and remaking the world.
